18 Oct 08 - The Grasstrack Season for me has now officially ended. See you in 2009!

18 Oct 08 - Unfortunately, for the first time since riding the Grasstrack racing clashed with my other hobby Irish Dancing. So I had to give this meeting a miss. I danced at the Great Britain Championships of Irush Dancing competing against some of the best dancers in the world. I actually ended up on stage with the four time world champion! (Just my luck!). I finished 44th on the day out of around 60 competitors including a 26th place from one Judge. We were very pleased.

4 Oct 08 - I rode at Shawbury in the penultimate round of the FGA Championship Series. The meeting was well attended by many top FGA riders, which meant that the racing was very close and very tough. We sorted out the gremlins from the previous meeting with the new engine and it rode amazingly well. This was probably my best meeting of the season, even if I did finish 7th overall. My results for the day were;

First Ride - 5th

Second Ride - 4th

Third Ride - 3rd

Fourth Ride - 4th

Fifth Ride - 4th

Sixth Ride - 2nd

Overall, an awesome day of racing and it was great that the engine went well this time around. As I said before, probably my best meeting of the season.

20 Sept 08 - I rode at Hampton Hall today. The track as always was great to ride and produced some great racing throughout the day. For the first time, we tested a different engine out on track which was a new experience and provided the CF Racing Pit Crew with considerable work to do as things were not quite right. This included a lack of power at the start line which at one point saw the bike stall on the line. As a result I didn't do as well in some races as I'd hoped. The results for the day were;

First Ride -3rd

Second Ride - 2nd

Third Ride - 4thr

Fourth Ride - Non- Starter

Fifth Ride - Non-Starter

Sixth Ride - 3rd

Overall, it was a good days racing despite the problems. And the engine appears to be a good investment.

27 Aug 08 - Stop Press! The meeting scheduled for Saturday 30th August at Chetton (later moved to Shawbury) has been cancelled due to problems in getting a field for the day.

23 Aug 08 - I rode in the FGA Championship Round held by the Whitchurch Club at the Rally Field Site in Malpass, Cheshire. Not a great days racing due to the unfortunate mechanical gremlins, but these are now sorted and we're all set for the next FGA Meeting at Chetton next Saturday.

31 Jul 08 - Preparations are well underway for this weekend's meeting at Shawbury on Saturday 2 Aug 08.  Hop the weather stays fine.  Looking to improve again after the great neeting I had at Crewe a fortnight ago.  Racing this Saturday starts at 1400hrs.  Look forward to seeing you there.   

20 Jul 08 - What a great day's racing.  Had 3 heat wins, two thirds and and a shed chain in the last but one heat.  Finished overall 2nd on the day this being my highest placing in senior racing to date.  Heat Results:

19 Jul 08 - Just a reminder that to-day's meeting at Moss Farm, Moss Lane, Leighton, Crewe CW1 4RL is still on.  Practice is at 1300hrs and racing starts at 1400hrs. 

11 Jul 08 - Next meeting looks likely to take place on Saturday 19 Jul 08 but this is dependent upon the weather. Further updates throughout the week.
